Altec Lansing boasts two main features of this speaker system: sleek and simple. The first thing you notice about the package as a whole is the futuristic design of the satellite speakers. Encased in silver with black trim, this package is a nice addition to any person’s desk or theater system. Right out of the box, the system can be set up in a matter of minutes. There are no massive tangles of randomly colorized cables, or endless diagrams and instructions. An amp isn’t required either. Once the satellite speakers are attached to the subwoofer, powered on, and the cable is inserted into a music source you will be ready to rock.
The capabilities of these speakers are endless. They can be plugged into a laptop, a home theater system, a video game console, an iPod or any other audio device. They get loud enough to be used at a party and can be turn down quietly for personal use. The remote control that they come with is very handy, although if it gets lost, you will have no way to adjust the bass or the treble.
After listening to a wide range of musical genres, the speakers never failed to please me. For the price of $99.99 from the manufacturer and being packed with a one-year limited warranty, this package leaves little to be desired. Overall this is a high-end quality system with a low-end price. If you’re looking for a system and it’s in the price range, these are a sure bet.
