On February 9, 2009, The College of IST held its first International Etiquette Dinner.  While IST usually holds a traditional Etiquette dinner at least once a year, this was first one that had an international spin.  Sponsored by Johnson and Johnson, the dinner provided participants with information regarding the different dining procedures and standards of etiquette that exist around the world.

1 – Facebook.  Ah yes, my old friend Facebook.  It has an iPhone application, and if you’re anything like 95% of the college students in the world, you can’t live a single day without checking good ole’ F B.  Do yourself a huge favor and download this one.  It’s free and it has a better user interface than accessing the mobile Facebook site via Safari.  Enjoy!

OK, I’m going to do this as slowly as possible, so that no one gets lost.
 
First, locate the “Settings” Button on your iPod Touch or iPhone.  It should look like any other application, with three gray gears appearing in the icon.  Tap it in order to open the “Settings” menu.
 
Next, find the “General” option, and tap it once in order to go to the “General Options” menu.
 
This menu presents a list of options.  Find the one that says “Network” and tap it.

On February 18, 2009, the first new episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV finally arrived.  The downloadable content (DLC), titled “The Lost and Damned,” costs a whopping 20 dollars!  Is Rockstar giving you your money’s worth?

Docomo, one of Japan’s leading manufacturers of mobile devices, has recently begun to research the use of E-paper in cellular phones.  E-paper, developed by SiPix Imaging, is “paper which uses small chambers, called microcups, that are filled with white particles and a colored liquid, allowing the E-paper to display two colors.”  This technology allows for the creation of an e-paper keypad that can change its layout based on the user’s current requirements.  For example, a keypad could be programmed to display both western text as well as Japanese characters, depending …
